1 Be passionate about your idea. If you are not, don't bother.
2 Research on who you are pitching to. What are their pressures, successes, values and beliefs. Is it convergent? Can it be commercially exploited? Can you make them look good?
3 Share ideas. It's amazing what comes back.
4 'No' is important. It's the only true, factual response you can sometimes get. Find out the reason behind the 'no' as it will be based on fact or reason. You can then work on that.
